ABOUT CHANGEMAKERS PUBLISHING
CHANGEMAKERS PUBLISHING is a music publishing company that primarily
represents Gini Graham Scott and her co-writers. We are
members of a number of music industry organizations, including BMI,
the Country Music Association, the Nashville Songwriters
Association, and West Coast Songwriters Association. We
are now represented by Chris J. Keaton of
Keaton
Music Ventures in Nashville, who is handling negotiations for
all our songs. If you are interested in any of our songs, we
will refer you to him for follow-up.
In some cases, we act as a co-publisher with larger, more
established publishers in the industry, where we make the initial
contact with record labels, agents, and managers, and the other
publisher handles follow-up. In other cases, songs by Gini
Graham Scott and co-writers are signed to other publishers.
This is an approach that has been used successfully in the book
industry through
Cal
Literary, which acts as a co-agent with other literary agents.
We have previously had a half-dozen cuts on independent record
labels, including "The Truth about Lying" (Sun Star), "What I Told
You on the Pillow" (Sealco),
and “Listen to the Echoes” (Sheheshe Records). "An Innocent Man" was
used in the film "Justice on Trial" about Gary Graham, on death row
in Texas for a crime he claims he didn't commit.
