ABOUT GINI GRAHAM SCOTT

GINI GRAHAM SCOTT, Ph.D., J.D., is a nationally known writer, organizational/business consultant, sociologist, anthropologist, speaker, and seminar/workshop leader, specializing in business and work relationships, conflict resolution, creativity, social issues, and criminal justice. She is founder and director of Changemakers Publishing, Songworks, and Creative Communications & Research. Besides writing nonfiction and screenplays, she has written over 100 songs. About 50 of these have been published and a dozen have been recorded on independent labels. Her songs include a mix of genres, including country, gospel, pop, folk, and novelty songs.

 

Scott's cuts on several records include: "The Truth about Lying" (Sun Star), "What I Told You on the Pillow" (Sealco), “Listen to the Echoes” (Sheheshe Records), and "My Puppy Dog's Just a Pussy Cat" (Better Times Publishing). She has developed a series of songs with dog themes to support and promote her Do You Look Like Your Dog book, Web site, and TV game/reality show.  She has written songs in many different genres, from country and pop songs to gospel, and these are featured on this Web site.  She is a songwriter member of BMI and a number of songwriter organizations, including the Country Music Association, Nashville Songwriting Association, and West Coast Songwriters Association.  She is now represented by a song plugger based in Nashville, Chris J. As a writer, Scott has published over 40 books on diverse subjects. Her screenplays, mostly in the crime, legal thriller, and sci-fi genres, include RICH AND DEAD, ROYAL FLUSH, DEAD BEAT, THE PARKING LOT, BRINGING GRANDMA BACK, WILD CHILD, BRAIN SWAP, KILL.NET and DELUSION.  RICH AND DEAD is expected to start filming with Liv'N'Luv Productions in the summer of 2007.  Her scripts are represented by Lloyd D. Robinson of Suite A Talent and Literary Agency in Beverly Hills and by Marsha Cook of Marcus Bryan & Associates.   She has recently established a production company, Changemakers Productions, as a joint venture with Emerald May Productions in Hollywood to package scripts; the first to be packaged with a director, talent, and distribution is THE PARKING LOT.

 

As a game and toy designer, Scott has had over two dozen games with major game companies, including Hasbro, Pressman, and Mag-Nif. She licensed GLASNOST: THE GAME OF SOVIET-AMERICAN PEACE AND DIPLOMACY to John N. Hansen (1988). The game received a 1989 International Clio for packaging. 

 

Scott has received national media exposure for her books (including appearances on Good Morning America, Oprah, Montel Williams, CNN, and the O'Reilly Factor). She received a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California in Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of San Francisco Law School, and M.A.s in Anthropology and Mass Communications at California State University, East Bay.
